I thought I would tell you about something I've been doing over the past ten days... I decided that I needed to make some changes, since I was tired of looking like a stuffed sausage in all of my t-shirts. So, I started a 'Food Log' and began writing down everything I have eaten whether it was a meal or a snack...
I should add that I made some rules for myself. I am only drinking water, or coffee. No soda, no juice... just water, and I am drinking four 20oz tumblers every day. I am eating no desserts. I am also taking a multi-vitamin every morning. Other than that, I am eating regular meals for breakfast and lunch, but with smaller portions, but having a salad and a bit of whatever protein we have for dinner. I have a snack during the day of a five Ritz Crackers, and at night I have a little treat of five ritz crackers with a little peanut butter and some raisins sprinkled on them (Yummy!)
I told myself that I was going to work out for at least a half hour every day on this stationary bike we have, but it really sucks... the seat hurts my butt, and I didn't feel like I was getting any excercise... so I decided to try the Rowing Machine... WOW! That is the best workout I have EVER had! I did 20 mins, and got to 2400 meters the first time, but since then I've been doing 30 mins a day and today I am up to 5000 meters. Admittedly, I did slack for a couple of days, but I'm not going to slack anymore... it feels too good.
The results thus far are really interesting... I have to pee ALOT, (sorry, TMI I know...) LOL, and I am hungrier, overall... but things taste SO good... and the best part is: I put on my jacket to go into the freezer the other day, and I fastened the zipper and zipped it up without having to stretch it across my belly so much... and it feels LOOSER!
I remember when I was still married, and we drove down to Las Vegas and met my sister and her new boyfriend (they've been married for four years now and have an AWESOME three year old girl) Well, my sister had lost ALOT of weight and she looked amazing, and all I could say was "Where is the other half of you?" I want her to have the same reaction when she sees me in October...
Okay enough of me blathering... I'm going to go get my crackers and peanut butter now.
Just a short post this morning to bring you up to date and say Hello! I'm down to just under $2800.00, and I am on schedule for debt elimination by next payday, IF, that is I can stop buying toys.
I bought an old truck off of one of my shipmates who is leaving the Dyson on this next in-port. It's an old 1981 Ford 100, what is now called Ranger... It's on Kodiak, and although we are only there a few weeks each year, it will serve me well as a runabout, so I won't have to fight or wait for a government vehicle to run my errands in... and this one has no computers in it, so I can fix it myself... hehehe, yeah... riiiight.
This is just a short post to show you what I have been up to of late. I have been studying the art of tattooing, ever since I got my first one before the Dyson set out from Seattle all those looong months ago.
One of my shipmates, I won't say his name here, but it rhymes with Joel... oops. LOL! He asked me to design something for him, and in the course of the conversation I asked him how he would feel about letting me actually do the inking, if I were to buy the equipment and all.
He said yes, and he even went ahead and bought the gear, and we have been studying diligently and practicing on this little piece of rubber that they give you to use. Well, yesterday I decided that if I was really going to learn how to do it, I would just go ahead and Do. It.
So... I tattooed my own thigh!
It actually came out pretty well for my first self-inking... there are some little squiggles here and there, but nothing that can't be fixed... it will be full color with japanese style water splashing around it... there is significance in this design as I am a pisces... and I used to build Koi ponds as a hobby...
If you check out my photo gallery, you will see The Back Piece... that is going on this fall/winter... and I will update with photos as I go 'under the gun'
Well, I am going to go watch a movie and fold my laundry, so I will sign off for now... May the blessings of the Goddess shine upon you like the sun
I apologize for being absent so much, this survey cruise has been boring and I've been spending the time doing alot of drawing.? I've got GREAT news! My debt is now down to
$3200.00
I can really see the end in sight!!!
Well, I think we are changing course and that means I might lose the internet connection, so I am going to sign off while I can without losing this post. More later!
Ok, I'm going to keep this short and sweet, since I need to get to work already this morning. But, I will make a more detailed blog later today, and on a different subject...
